I had alot of fun then (1981-1984), the festival brought enjoyment to many visitors to Van Buren. Sharon (wife) Chris (son) and parents Jay and Shirley Dale are fine. Thanks to all the people that supported the store. Hello, to Bev and Annie Bayman.

I remember all the people filling up the streets for the parade and Carla, Nikki, Staci and I all participating in the sub eating contest. I just love seeing the people that I knew growing up and the way everyone changes and all the new faces. It is a great way for us to come together and now our kids can watch the parade together.

I remember making a scarcrow & painting the fire hydrant every year with mom. I try to come back every year to the festival and watch my grandkids enjoy the parade as much as we did as kids.

I remember when I coached the Hemmick Hardware Bears flag football team and I wore my shirt during the baby parade when my son Larry was a Jack in the Box. What a great time. I still fly back almost every year for the festival. Great Memories!

I remember the dances at the conservation club! That really dates me huh? Those were fun times. I also remember Martz's Market and the "dime store"! Seems like we always had our best thunderstorm right about the time the parade was supposed to get started also!

I have such great memories of my grandpa Bob Fincannon announcing the parade every year. Also, I remember my friends and I would save our money to go spend at the booths - we got lots of treasures back then. Finally, it was always so much fun for the entire Fincannon Family to meet over at my grandma and grandpa's house during the festival. Great memories...

I remember my girls saving pennies all year for the festival. A few days before the festival we would spend all afternoon wrapping our pennies to take to the bank. What fun they had spending their own money. Now I'll start saving pennies for my two granddaughters. I'll never forget when Bob Fincannon dressed up like tarzan (I think it was tarzan). I miss Bob. He left us with wonderful memories.
